I am truly honored to be the principal at Shenandoah Elementary School.  My name is Tonya Marrocco, and I am a proud St. Louis Public School educator and parent.  I am a resident of St. Louis city and have been with the district for 18 years.    

In addition to my 9 years as a classroom teacher at Dewey Elementary, I have spent the past 6 years gaining invaluable experience working as the academic instructional coach at Mullanphy Elementary.  During my time with St. Louis Public Schools, I have developed my educational knowledge as well as my leadership skills. My love for students and families is a guiding focus as I approach each and every day. 

As the principal, my goal will be to build successful students who have high expectations for themselves and others here at Shenandoah. We will work together to build our strong community with families and neighbors through open doors, honest communication, and interactive events.  I am excited about the upcoming school year as we work together to strengthen Shenandoah's community of learning and growing!
