Mrs. Marcia Lewis

I have a successful track record of successful teaching and family partnership for over 20 years  with St. Louis Public Schools.  I have a Masters of Arts Degree in Teaching and I love to teach Preschool and all the exploring and learning throughout the year.  I grew up in St. Louis and I am a St. Louis Public School graduate.  My initial position with St. Louis Public Schools was a Latchkey Coordinator via collaborative with St. Louis Caring Communities and St. Louis Public School, as a coordinator, I spearheaded an educational program for 75 children and 12 support staff.

During my tenure as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher, I was a two- time recipient of The Pettus Foundation Award of Excellence for Teachers and an Iota Phi Lambda Sorority Apple for the Teacher Award recipient.

Aside from being an educator, I am a member of the NCNW, a women's organization that helps with opportunities and quality of life for African American women and their families locally here in St. Louis; spreading community advocacy and networking with local entrepreneurs and community agencies.

I am looking forward to this 2024-2025 school year!  Themes at a glance are- Hello School, Marvelous Me! Look Outside, Taking Care, Everyday Helpers, From Farm to Table, On the Go!, Animals All Around, Earth, Moon and Sky;

I look forward to partnering with our scholars, parents and families to continue learning and prepare our scholars for school success in kindergarten and beyond.
