Mrs. Dorothy Bean-Culley
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. My name is Dorothy Bean-Culley. I am the Behavior Intervention Specialist at Yeatman Liddell College Preparatory Middle School. I am excited about the new school year.
This year, our school will continue implementing Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS).
What is PBIS?
PBIS is a proactive, team-based framework for creating and sustaining safe and effective schools with emphasis being placed on prevention of problem behavior and development of pro-social skills. School-wide PBIS increases the capacity of schools to educate all scholars utilizing research-based school-wide, classroom and individualized interventions.
The ultimate goal of PBIS is to increase academic performance, decrease problem behavior, increase safety and establish a positive school culture and climate that is conducive to learning.
Our PBIS model will focus on three areas. These areas are:
- Being Respectful
- Being Responsible
- Being Safe
We encourage you as a parent/guardian to join the Yeatman Liddell family as we work together to prepare our scholars for their successful future.
If you should have any questions or concerns, I may be reached at the telephone number listed above or via email dorothy.culley@slps.org
Sincerely,
Dorothy Culley, Behavior Intervention Specialist
