NOTE: THIS IS A LONG-TERM PROJECT!  TAKE YOUR TIME, AND HAVE FUN WITH IT! SAVE OFTEN!  ONLY WORK ON THIS IF YOUR CORE CLASS ASSIGNMENTS ARE COMPLETE!  THIS IS EXTRA CREDIT!  Also, it's a good idea to make a LIST of places first.  Click here to get to that!

Directions:  Are you ready to embark on your 5-day trip around the world?  Pack your bags, and get your wallet or purse ready!  You are now on an all-expense paid trip AROUND THE WORLD!  All I ask is that you keep a "diary" that tells me what you did on your vacation!   In this diary, I want you to give me the exciting details of the events that happened on each day - morning, noon and night!

What to do: Use the Internet to research 5 different places in this world!  Then, all you do is pretend that you were in these places, and write a journal entry for each place!  When you open the file (above), you will notice that there are 5 blank slides - each with a place to write what you did in the morning, the afternoon, and the evening!  Simply fill them in with vivid details, making it sound like you were really there!  Everyone LOVES Youtube, and that site is a GREAT resource for looking up all sorts of information (not just music videos :-) )!  For example, if you click HERE, you will see a great video on a place that is very familiar to you - St. Louis, MO!  Although there are thousands of sites you can use, I suggest using that YouTube channel for your research. It's the EXPEDIA YOUTUBE CHANNEL <--- Just click that, and it will take you right there!

Remember: You have all the money in the world, so have fun, and do some exciting things on your trip!  You will keep your “diary” pages saved on your computer in a PowerPoint presentation!  Save your work often!  When you are done, you can email it to me (jason.pense@slps.org), or you can upload it into your OneDrive (portal.office.com) and share it with me!

If you need a refresher for doing the "basics" of PowerPoint, please click HERE.  Look below at my examples to see how it's done.  Remeber - this is completly fictional!  So throw in some wild and crazy ideas if you'd like.  I sure did!  Also, note the BAD example below - don't do that.  The grading rubric is also below.  BE CREATIVE!!!
