LaTonya C. Johnson
I am pleased to serve as the Academic Instructional Coach (AIC) here at Oak Hill. I have dedicated my entire educational career solely to St. Louis Public Schools in various capacities: classroom teacher, consultant teacher, and an AIC.
I obtained my undergraduate degree from Harris Stowe State College and a master's degree from Lindenwood University in the area of Education Administration. I also have a Special Reading Certification for grades K-12. My educational philosophy is that I believe all students are capable of learning. They all do not learn at the same rate, but with different methods and strategies it is possible. My role is to support teachers through coaching, providing instructional resources, and delivering professional development to ensure that all the students of Oak Hill have great learning experiences. With that objective in mind, I also aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations.
Outside of education, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and shopping.
