Hello!

I am Nurse Lange, your new school nurse this year. I have been with the district since 2015 and have been a Registered Nurse for 16 years. I spent 8 years in the hospital setting and 8 years total in the school setting. I have also worked in the medical-surgical, long-term, and skilled nursing settings. I left school nursing for two years to care for my father who passed away in 2022. 

I am excited about returning to the school setting. I have worked in elementary, middle, and high schools with Saint Louis Public Schools. I love school nursing because I have the chance to have a long-term impact on the lives and health outcomes of the students, families, and staff I work with on a daily basis. I also love public education; my older son graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2016 and my younger son is entering middle school in Saint Louis Public Schools this year. 

I grew up in Saint Louis and am a proud resident of Saint Louis City. I graduated from Saint Louis Community College at Forest Park with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing in 2008, and Chamberlain College of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014. My main interests are Public Health, School Health, and the epidemiology and prevention of vaccine-preventable diseases. I also love music and my favorites are Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, The Beatles, Prince, gospel, classic rock, and classic country music, although I promise not to sing.
