Mrs. Rosetta Williams-Scott

Hello! I'm Rosetta Williams-Scott, and I'm thrilled to be joining the Lexington 3rd grade team! Teaching is my true passion, and I’m eager to work with both you and your child this year. I believe that at-home support and open communication are crucial for a successful school year, and I appreciate everything you do for your child and our school community.

To my future scholars, I can't wait for the first day of school! We’re going to have an amazing time filled with engaging educational activities, technology, and exciting projects.

A bit about me: I’ve spent most of my life in Illinois and graduated from New Madrid R-6 High School in New Madrid, MO. I hold degrees from State Community College, Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville, and the University of Missouri-St. Louis, with studies in Sociology, Psychology, Elementary Education, and a Master’s in Counseling. My previous experience includes roles as a Classroom Teacher, Chapter 1 Math Instructor, Acting Administrator, and Elementary School Counselor with St. Louis Public Schools.

I have served on various committees such as:

Parson Blewett Committee - (Vice President)

United Negro College Fund (Chairperson)

United Way (Part of the Committee)

Kids of Hunger (Chairperson)

Leadership Team (Part of the Committee)

SLPS Counselor Mentor

Saint Jude Fundraising (Chairperson)

Thank you in advance for trusting me with your most precious possession. I promise to treat your child the way I would want my child to be treated.

Looking forward to a fantastic year together!
