• Sumner Hosts a Spring Fling

     Collage

Nearly 1,000 students, staff and community members turned out for Sumner High School’s Spring Fling on May 3 at the school’s Tuskegee Airmen Football Field. The weather was perfect for the free carnival-style event in The Ville.

Fairgoers especially loved the dunk tank, go karts and rock climbing wall. Other activities included live entertainment, food, rides, slides and games.

The Planning Committee wanted to thank all fairgoers for making the event a great success. The committee would also like to recognize 4th Ward Alderman Samuel L. Moore, community partners, vendors, Sam's Party Services, SLPS and the entire Sumner Bulldog Family for their tremendous support of the Spring Fling.

Based on community interest, Sumner plans to host an even bigger carnival next year.
