• SLPS is so thankful for its volunteers. One volunteer, Pete Sellers, was recently recognized in a YMCA newsletter. Mr. Sellers is a Sumner High School alumnus who has been volunteering at Cote Brilliante Elementary School. Several years ago, he also funded an athletic scholarship for a student at Sumner. As fellow active Sumner alumna Warice Davis said, "He's a gem!"
