Washington University Medical School's Saturday Scholars program continues to be a wonderful opportunity for SLPS and county students. Over four Saturdays, students learned about the human anatomy both in a lecture and lab environment while interacting with medical students. The Saturday Scholars program is part of a three-pronged partnership among St. Louis Public Schools, Washington University School of Medicine and the University of Missouri Medical School. The partnership is spearheaded by retired SLPS administrator Shirley Brown and its roots date back to the 1981-2 school year. Eleven SLPS high schools participated this year! The program concluded on March 15, 2014, with a team from each school giving a PowerPoint presentation and an awards ceremony.
